My wife encouraged me to look up something on the internet about SAHD's , and I found this cool website.
My world has become a little bigger. I been looking for someone besides my wife to talk to about what I'm going through. This is great.
I'm looking forward to talking with you guys. There's so much I want to talk about. I guess I'll tell the basics of what led me to be a stay at home dad.
I worked for a certain Soft drink company for 9 years. On June 1st, I tore up my knee and was going to be out for a couple of months with surgery and therapy. In July, I found out that they were eliminating my position( I was in sales). In August I was offically laid off. To say I was devestated would be an understatement.
My wonderful wife picked up off the canvasand my belief in the Almighty God, got me through some really hard times. I've been tryingto find a job ever since. In November, my wife started back to work after being stay at home mom for 5 years. It was hard on her, especially with me spiraling into a deep depression. Anyway, I made it through the holidays, and am finally accepting the my role as a stay at home dad. I feel I have left some missing pieces out, but will fill them in eventually.
The most important thing is my wife and two beautiful and very wise children. I have a daughtr who is 8, and a son who will be turning 5 at he end of Febuary. That basically my story. Sure, there's stories I can and will tell. Look forward to sharing them with you guys.
