1920's Arts and Crafts to be demolished. It's in Westport, the heart of Fairfield County. Seems like a beautiful house. It seems a growing trend in the area, demo and BUILD BIGGER....That house has 100X hte character of any house they can build on the site....

Who knows, maybe it has unforeseen problems...

Someone should mine what can be, even the floor joists will be good doug fir, which recycles into great flooring or stair treads, furniture. Once the kids are occupied with school, I'll be taking advantage of buildings on the demo block, more for the floor joists than anything else.

Yeah, I bet there is a lot that could come out of that house. We got old brick when I was a kid from a house that was being demo'd. I think we had over 500 bricks that were over a 100 yrs old.
