I am running out of ideas for lunch for my 18 month old. I think she is getting tired of PB & J, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese. My wife is not to keen on buying the jars of baby food.

Pizza is always popular. What about quesidilas cut up small ? My guy loves both.

Ramen noodles works well, it is quick and most kids like them.
We grill hot dogs alot, she loves them, and I love to grill.
Buy some frozen chicken nuggets and fish sticks. Give them some applesauce with it, and they will love them

OH, you know what she also likes, get some tortillas, lightly brush or spray with olive oil, put some cheese on top and sprinkle with italian seasoning and bake till the cheese melts and turns a bit brown. Kinda like a white pizza. We could make a whole meal of them! (and have ;) )

Have you tried a drained can of soup? Like chicken noodle or vegetable? Every thing is nice and soft so the chance of choking is less. Tara likes the noodles.
We also still give her the baby food jar vegetables mixed with that flaked cereal, works out good to get her the veggies she needs but doesn't particulary like.
again, good luck!

That is a pretty good idea tt3, draining out some soup, Such a simple idea, I will use that next week.

When my son Nicholaus was 18 months he ate scrambled eggs 3 or 4 times a day. They are mooshy and he could feed himself easily without a fork.
He would also eat a bowl of green beans like they were candy but, I suspect this is uncommon behavior for 18 month olds. Made for some messy diapers. We nick named him The Green Machine for this.
Have you tried small bites of fruit cut up?

They make those little fruit cups in light syrup, Tara really likes those as well. Mandrin oranges and peaches are her favorite.
There is also some "healthy harvest" no sugar/sweetner added flavored applesauce she digs, look for that too!

She hated the green bean baby food but doesn't mind "real" ones....
Good luck!

We use those little fruit cups too, but there is alot of sugar in the syrup on the kind my wife buys, I know there is low sugar cups, but my wife doesnt like them.

LOL, she likes to take them in her lunch, and I do hide a few now and then for the kids.

My wife was just asking me to try to vary the lunch menu a little, trying to add more stuff in that our almost 9 month old can eat to, But I am having troubles trying to figure out what they will both eat, as I dont run a restaurant, and they both need to eat what I cook, not seperate dishes for each of them.

I have a great lunch idea today, I am going to take the kids to Mcdonalds and have a nice lunch inside the play room with them. All kids love mcdonalds, and we havent been there in months.
