Wow...this is TOO cool!!! It's nice to see that I'm not the only one experiencing different things as a SAHD. I've been doing this for seven months now and I think that I'm really getting the hang of it. I have a three year old son and a six year old daughter....and it's awesome being around them all of the time!
HOWEVER....after reading some of the messages, I realize that I'm not the only daddy that isn't allowed into the "girls only" club. Also, the use of the word Lonely couldn't be any more accurate. Finally, the message about watching all of your friends slowly drift away....how true is that?!?!?!
It's nice to see that I'm not alone in all of these experiences. It's funny how many "stay at home dads" that there supposedly are, but try finding one within the same state in which you reside....not too easy!!! What I wouldn't give to hang out with the guys....drink a beer or two....and talk only about the guy things (because we all know that women just don't understand the finer things about being a man!).
Enough venting....thanks for letting me into this group, I look forward to chatting with you all. SAHDs ROCK!!!!
