I am curious, do you make many purchases online and what kind of stuff do you buy?
I can get advertisers for lots of products for the site but do not want to turn this site into a banner farm so maybe some ore targeted ads would work?
Things I have purchased online: (just to start it off right  )
Laminate flooring, twice, saved about $500 total.
A Lot of my hockey equipment
A few kids toys
A few gifts for the holidays
gift cards and a few other items
I like ebay but find that many items are no longer as great a deal as it used to be. I know a few Ebay addicts, buying and selling daily and not for a living.

Don,
Please don’t sell ads on this web site. I tired of seeing flashing ads, the next would be pop ups ads. The last thing I bought on line was a 1968 Risk game on ebay. Thanks Chris

No pop ups or flash will ever be allowed on this site. Just small simple text ads, like the one at the top of the page. I have no intentions of getting rich of ads, just maybe enough to cover hosting expenses and maybe buy my son a happy meal :)

We buy alot of movies online, and my wife is an e-bay addict. But mostly, I use the internet to check stores to see if they have what I want, and then I go to the store to buy it.
I will be more than happy to send you a donation, as long as it is used for paying for the site, or site improvements. I would think that anyone that uses this forum on a daily basis would be happy to send you a donation, Maybe you could reward us with a gold star next to our name. Let me know if you would like a donation, and I will send it to you.

I will send you a donation through pay-pal if you will accept it through pay-pal. I want to see this site up and running for a while. I would hate to see you being the only one paying for it, as I use this as my lifeline to the outside world. Send me a pm and I will help you pay for this.

I will not be asking for donations, hosting is really cheap. I run an online business as well so I usually lump dadstayshome.com expenses into that and write it off for tax purposes.
I'm not looking to profit, site has been online 4.5 years and will be online for a long while.
I will not turn this site into a big advertisement, I will keep the shopping section to try and generate some revenue but not really targeting the dads who frequent the forum, more for those doing random web searches and maybe they find this site and then buy something I list.
The occasional book and brewing supplies, kits and ingredients, stuff like that. Val orders some clothes and shoes...

I tend to buy CDs, books, clothes, and homebrewing supplies. The usual.

I started thinking about this, and I forgot that anything and everything I buy for my fish tank, and the outside pond I have bought off the internet. So alot of my internet shopping goes to that.
My wife called and I asked her, she said she mostly shops for clothes, or stuff for the kids.

Thanks for the feedback. Again, I'm not going to put many ads but maybe a few text ads at the top. Probably mostly focused on kids stuff and maybe some amazon.com links.

Yeah, I think amazon.com links would be your best choice. We do buy quite a few books on there, and if the link is there, we will get to amazon.com through this site.

Books and websites are the only 2 things I have really bought online other than software for the websites.
