For some reason my wife was having one of those days on saturday, and she was driving me completely nuts, I couldnt take it anymore, so I went fishing, it really helped, but still wasnt completely calmed down, as she wasnt any better when I got back, so we had a couple arguements throughout the day, and I was going nuts on saturday. We finally made up before we went to bed, and we had the usual unbelievable make-up s@x. It is amazing that it can be so much better than normal isnt it.

I just wanted to know what you guys do when you need that instant get away time. I think I am in need of some new ideas!!

Wow, don you have parental controls on here. I typed in s@x but when i read my post after I submitted it, it said "fun" instead of "s@x". LOL

A night out with the guys watching hockey or something can be helpful. I find hanging out with some of my friends who do not have kids yet, very helpful because you tend to really talk about non-kid topics. We find making a plan to get a babbysitter and heading out as a couple for dinner and drinks a nice way to re-connect. Nothing thought beats an adult only weekend away somewhere.

I was wondering if s@x was a new position or something, hehehe. I did disallow some profanity in case the porn spammers stop by. :)

I try to get agood workout at the gym if I'm really pissed. Going out with the guys is good too but hard to do at the last minute.

I usually brew when I need a break. Either at my house or go over when a friend brews. Nothing resets me better then that smell associated with the boil. It usually takes 3hrs or so and I'm pretty well back on track after.
(A little tipsy too, of course, can't brew beer without consuming it ;) )

That is a good idea, joining a gym, We have an excersize room in our house, and I used to use it alot, now only when friends come over do I use it. Maybe I would be more motivated if I went to a gym

I don't wanna crank on the gym idea, but we haven't used our membership in a while. I think regarless of home gym or a membership, you need a work out partner to keep each other motivated.
Sorry, giving advice I should follow!
"do as I say, not as I do" right?!?

That is what I was thinking, if I had someone to workout with I meight keep myself motivated, here it is just me.
But then again, we live in a highly populated area, and I imagine there would be alot of people there to work out at the same time. I dont really want to wait in line to work out. See I talked myself out of it already. Back to the drawing board.

I thought about that, but I have no idea how to do it. Point me in the right direction, and I'll see what I come up with. I know you are on a brewer's forum. What is the link to it??

My motivation for working out is the YMCA has a sitter service. So I can bring the kids and get a good workout in. The kids love it because they get to play in the gym and all they have a ton of toys.

The eye candy does not hurt either 8)

I need to join up at the Y

I never get away really. If I do I try to go fishing or hunting, depending on the season.
