Hey Mark,

That game had to hurt, the Mets had it locked up. Why did they pull Santana? He pitched 109 pitches I think, you pay the guy 150 million I would want to see him out there. He was lights out.

They got Santana to win the division, but they blow it for him.

He is going to go off today, I can't wait to read the NY papers. The is awesome , but the team is killing him. As he said, "I am doing my job."

That stung indeed. I was hoping for 2 out of 3. Hope they can regroup. As for pulling Santana, that is the baseball world we live in. With Wagner unavailable you would think the Mets would have tried to stick with Santana longer. The good news is that they are only a game out in late July. After last years meltdown maybe the Mets should have to squirm a bit to earn first place in order to appreciate it more. Still a lot of baseball to go.

I was hoping to see Wagner, he always blows a lead to the Phillies. I think he has 2 blown saves against the Phils this year.

last night was a lost cause. Myers had been pitching in AAA for the last 3 weeks. He is horrible, they will most likely move him to the pen.

The cream rises to the top!! Mets take over first place in the NL East for the first time in a while. I hope they can hold it this time!! Clutch hit by Delgado and Billy Wagner git's her done for the second time in two days. What was up with Jimmy Rollins? Was he hungover or just begging off? Me thinks he was out late last night. Going to be a long 2 months of baseball for sure.

Think the Mets would like to take a little Manny action, Mark?

He's finally worn it out up here.

What did I miss? I did see him line out to left the other day and walk directly into the dugout while the ball was still in flight. I do not want Manny thank you. Great talent but the Mets are doing OK for now. Good bunch of guys. Not an A-Hole on the team.

I will take him. And the Mets don't have an A-hole on the team????? I thought he whole lineup and all their fans were A-holes. :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Why do you think the entire team are A-holes?

I just got around to reading the Boston Globe. Manny being Manny. I would wait until October to make a move. The Mets are dripping in $$ and have a new park next year. They might make a move for him if they can extend him. And it ain't gonna be no 20 million. Shea and I would assume the new Citibank park are much bigger left fields than Fenway. He can't just stand out there playing stoop ball. Should be an interesting week in Bean Town.

Ayup. Hard not to see Boras behind it all, as usual. If the Sox pick up Manny's option, he gets bupkus. But if he's traded...

Anyway, it'll probably work out quite well. Manny will be tearing the cover off the ball at Fenway for the rest of the season playing for his next contract with whoever. Then it's au revoir.

I didn't see the Red Sox Nation booing or hating on Manny last night when Manny was being Manny and hitting a bomb!

Fans still like him, mostly, but ownership and management have had enough, it is said.

PS: Can we go back to the main baseball trunk? Being in a Phillies thread has me worried about cooties.
