William is 13 months now. He still goes down for two naps a day, about 45 to 90 min each in the morning and the afternoon.

This is just too good to last. At what age do they generally start to loose interest in having a nap?

Tara gave up her morning nap around 18months. They both nap for ~2hrs in the afternoon.

This one will vary for sure. My oldest stop napping at 2 years. Sure every now and again hr eould nap but not on a daily basis. Now son #2 went from 2 naps a day to 1 at about 13 or 14 months. He's 19 months now and naps once a day, usually for 1.5-2.5 hours.

My 2 year old naps in the afternoon for 2 hours, she looks forward to it every day! She stopped the morning naps at about 18 months. The 4 year old still wants a nap occasionally when she gets home from school, the sad thing is I can't let her otherwise she's incredibly crabby when I wake her up, and then she's up forever at night, and I like my alone time with mommy :D

My guy is almost 16 months. He naps from 10-12ish every day and usually for 30-60 mins in the afternoon around 4pm. He sleeps from 8-6ish every night.

Thanks for the feedback.

Two weeks ago William started fighting off his afternoon nap even though he’d be so tired he’d look like a little zombie.

After a few days I worked out a schedule adjustment that we’re both happy with. At 2:00 he gets a snack and his nap has been moved back to 3:30. He goes out without protest and sleeps about two hours.

I’ve been using his new longer afternoon nap to get my garage cleaned out this week.

He’s back to sleeping through the night now, 9:00pm to 7:00am. He had been going all night until the walking started, that seemed to really screw up his overnight sleeping patterns.

Depending on how tire I get him in the morning, Sebastioan will nap every afternoon for a minimum of an hour. He will turn three in June.

He use to take a nap at around 11 am before and one later but that's over.

Our problem is that sometimes he sleeps up to three hours and I don't have the heart to wake him. No, not because of him, I don't have the heart because he won't let me finish whatever I am doing.

Then at night is "payback time" At 10:30 pm he is as fresh as the morning newspaper.

He's napping now actually, ahhh the white noise of the baby monitor.

He's 7 months (4 1/2 adjusted (preemie)).

He sleeps from about 7 at night till 10/11 for a bottle with cereal and then he's good until about 6 or so. During the day he alternates awake/asleep every couple of hours.

I am finding I can get him to nap better by keeping him with me in the living room while I work on the laptop and he's playing with toys. He gets tired he nods off. He wakes up, I feed/change/play with him and he's a happy guy. The biggest fights/hardest to put him down times are when I try to put him in his crib for a nap. I think he likes the feeling that daddy is right over there (it's almost like he'll wake up look over to make sure I'm still there and then go back to sleep) as opposed to daddy is somewhere and will come if I'm crying.

That white noise is evil.

Rachel's on a pretty steady schedule. Up at 8:30, nap from 12:30 to 2:30, then steady running until 9:00, when she goes down for the night.

She LOVES her nap, and will start singing the "Night, Night" song when she's ready to lay down.
