I have also set up a weekly pick'em one also. Same deal $10 a week and the honor system. You will be picking against the spread and each week we will have a winner. I vote to send Don the winnings on designated weeks. Maybe that week do $15 and $5 to the winner $10 to Don?

To Don it can go through pay pal. Otherwise just $10 in the mail each week to the winner. Never had a problem with sending cash in the mail, just wrap it in a piece of newspaper and off it goes.

I guess I'm dense. The other money league I'm in, we ante up at the beginning of the season and at the end the winners get the payout. This is in regard to the regular fantasy football not the weekly pick.

Thinking like $100 pot for the winner for fantasy. So if we have 6 of us it would be like 15 a person.

The weekly pick em could just be weekly. If you pick teams that week you are in for 10 and you send 10 to the winner. I imagine there will only be about 4 or 5 of us doing that, so everyone should win once and awhile.

Musta been another daddy league then. I was in one of the leagues but no one ever mentioned money last year.

Well, I'm in, already joined the regular league... so when we figure out money I'll do whatever I need to with it.

Hopefully everyone donated or legs may get broken. The Don is from NY you know. He's connected. I went back to see who played in the football. Tuffdog...you were in it. So was some guy named Maddox626. Didn't matter too much as he finished last. :icon_razz:

All I can say is this season lets ensure people can't dump their stars on the waiver wire when they know they've lost the season. That spoils weeks and weeks of fun for everyone. Guys can pick up LT, Peyton and the like off of waivers. WTF. That's stupid. No real manager for even Burger Hut is going to waive a star players like that. Actions like that ruin leagues for everyone. Especially with a fee involved where winnings can go to deserving people (and Don LOL). It did happen last season, but goodness and kindness to all prevailed (ME!). Please play fair and have fun and pay up. Don't start 2 teams so you can trade good players to 1 team. That is also a foul in my book. These 1 sided trades are lame. Seen it last season a few times. Won't name names as maybe they just aren't that bright and figured a Tom Brady for Rex Grossman trade was even Steven. (That wasn't the trade, but it was similar to that). Maybe not quite on that magnitude, but you get the idea. FF is all about fun and competition.

Yeah I will auto draft in a week or so, give time for people to sign up. I like the live draft, but it is hard to do time wise.

Signed up for the fantasy league -- if we get enough players, would y'all consider a live draft. You can be absent for a live draft, your draft list is used to autopick if you aren't logged in. Let me know how dues are being collected.

$10 a week is way too steep for the pick 'em league, considering the most I'm paying for my main fantasy league is $60 (and that's splitting a team). I set up the pick 'em league last year — Maddox, would you be offended if I set up another one for bragging rights only?

No one else was signing up so I put it into ready to draft. It usually takes a day or two to draft so I was surprised when it drafted a little early.

It should be fine. My defense is consisted of guys who never play/won't play, but besides that it should be fine. IT's small enough that there will always be pick-ups out there. Just being a "point" league, every little point will matter. Good luck.

Just got my invite for the big one I usually finish high in. Top 3 for the past 3 or 4 seasons. It has 60-70 people and a nice prize at the end. It is a pick league where you pick against the spread. My guy ran for 4 TDs yesterday. Watching it I was pumped. I hadn't checked my roster though for days. I went on today and found I didn't have him in the lineup. Ahhhh.

We need a live draft next time and more people.

Picked up Colston last night in the middle of the night figuring on Brees passing the hell out of the ball, which he did. Colston had a great day, but low and behold. Yet again...I played someone else. Not sure why I picked him up and never inserted him in my lineup. It was late and I did a few other acquisitions and just forgot to make the change. I suck. I deserve to lose. Hopefully I can still hold second place, so I'm not as big of a loser as the guys below me. Like Maddox.

On a plus I am 9-1 in my league where you pick against the spread. The only game I messed up on was the Cincinnati game. I was honestly on the fence with them. They have played better over the past few games and I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and decided not to. Didn't have faith that they would cover that spread. Ahhhh. I could be 10-0 going into the afternoon games, which would all buy assure me of winning the week. Oh well. Such is life.
