I was wondering if anyone does any charity work or doing anything to support our troops in Iraq? I do not do any charity work, But I do donate $400 in hockey equipment to an inner city league every year.

I have also seen a few posts in other forums and at my son's pre-school about collecting items for our troops, like candy, pudding, crackers and things like that. Anyone makeing such donations? I am goign to send a package to a sevicemen that is a fellow alumni of my college fraternity and thought it might be nice if you migth find someone to send a package to.

Please share with us anything you do that is charitable.

My sister-inlaw is in the air force, she was deployed over to afghanistan, but has not been sent into iraq. We do multiple charities for her base that sends the supplies to our troops in iraq. Just counting my family we have donated over 25,000 dollars to her base, and it has all went to our soldiers in iraq.

Personally I am looking for a way to contribute but haven't found a means to do so locally. If you know of a way let me know.

It is not me by any means, my wife does all of that, and her uncle, and her dad. It is a really good tax write off too. If we didnt give to charities, and have a good lawyer, uncle sam would have alot more of our money than he does now!!
