First it was Savard, then Melrose.

Who do you think is next? After Deadmonton's loss to crappy Dallas tonight, my money is on Craig MacTavish being the next to get the axe...:PDT_drv:

I was wrong...

Laviolette gets canned in Carolina. Paul Maurice is back.

This should be interesting. I always thought Maurice got a raw deal in Toronto. He was saddled with overpaid under-producers like Darcy Tucker (just to name one) while in Toronto. Glad he's getting another shot.

This has been the worst birthday on record. What the F? Paul Maurice back in Carolina. By the sounds of it (through contacts of mine who know people) they wanted a yes man. Basically Jim Rutherford and Karmanos are trying to call all of the shots. I can understand them steering the coach one way or another, but let him coach. It's his team and if your going to undermine that, then it's all for naught. We shall see, but I don't think PM can turn this around for Carolina. They say they have issues with new guys fitting in and no cohesiveness in the locker room. Hope they can fix it. I listened to the 11:30 announcement on the radio though. I was floored.

Hopefully Paul got his Masters in coaching, while in Toronto. He had no success. I think the Canes just wanted a "yes man". Who knows.

Happy B-day HF!! I had heard during the Rangers game that Lavulette got canned . I am shocked to hear that Maurice is back. WTF?!! I hate when NHL teams just retread the same guys. Nice job in TO Paulie. Here is another assignment for you. The fans will be all over him. As for Lavulette (sp), he will surface again as soon as he wants. A cup on the resume does not hurt.
