Hello all!!!!
Greetings from Rochester, NY. My name is Matt and I have been a SAHD for 1 1/2 years now. We have 3 great kids Megan 14, Michele 4 1/2 and Ryan 2.
My old job had me traveling way too much and by the time we figured out that it would not cost us that much more for me to stay home, the decision was a no brainer. Have not looked back since.
Staying at home came easy for me as I was a single father for almost 3 years with my oldest before I met my current wife. But the two little ones keep me very busy!!! There are not very many quiet moments around the house, but I love my job and my kids even more.
I have read a few posts from all of you and just wanted to let the Dads with little ones who can't walk and talk yet know that it gets a little easier in some ways, but mostly it is a TOTALLY different job once they hit 2 and espically if they have a older brother or sister, so hold on, its a very fun ride!!!
I look forward to reading more posts and sharing my thoughts, ideas and stories with all of you.
On a side note: I am in a local contest on the radio here and this Wednesday I have to get on stage at a local comedy club and do a 2-3 minute set for the contest. I am wanting to do a skit on being a SAHD and was wondering if anyone has any SAHD jokes that I can use in my skit? Please post or e mail me or PM directly through the site if you can.
Thanks for your help and I'll talk wiht you soon.
Matt
