So I've been sick a couple weeks...

The wife says to me the other day I looked like I dropped below 170. I stepped on the scale, and was the same 173 I'd been before eating that day. Looks like I've been staying the same weight, but a trimmer version of it. I'm inspired to see (and let the wife see) what continuing along that path will look like.

'80's Tomcat was 5'11", 173, benching 300. Man, I miss that guy.

Me ten years ago was doing the same thing but with about 80 extra pounds. I miss the body a bit, but that guy was a real know-it-all dick. I don't miss him so much.

I'm 6'1", and believe me, far from anorexic. I need a lot of calories just to maintain. If I get to the right definition at the weight I'm at, I may try to add some pounds then. My highest weight ever was 189, but it was a flabby 189.

As for the benching #'s, I don't own a bench, but I sure as hell won't share publicly what I can bench if I ever find out. I'll say this though, 80s, 90s or 00s Ben hates you both.

Ya ain't got nothin' to hate me for. I'd gladly be less cut if I could bench 1x my own weight, much less dream of doing almost 2x it.

Well, yet another week of training interrupted by broom problems. I can't feel any major protrusions or anything, but I get a really bad pinching sensation in the left groin area when doing any lifting.

Anyone know a personal trainer in central Jersey who'd be willing to barter for guitar/voice lessons? I don't have the cash.

Slowly but surely getting in better condition. In week 5 of the gradual plan. Up to a 20 min jog and working some push-ups, pull-ups, squats and calf raises just to get the body in the habit. Will eventually add weight and/or resistance bands.

I spent so much of the early part of the school year taking care of sick kids and appointments for this SMS that, I've really neglected my training. Got to start up again, but slowly since I'm sick now. Blah!
