I am breaking a lot of bad habits and adding a bunch of good ones. One thing I remember the last time I lost a lot of weight is after the first 10 pounds it almost becomes addicting.

Things that help me... They keep the HIGH calorie Sodas out of my overall diet. I also drink nearly a GALLON of water daily and have for a very long time.
  • Soda Water (La Crouix, Perrier...)
  • Fresh Brewed Ice Tea. (No sugar) Tea Bags in hot water then chilled.

Another good thing for me is I LOVE veggies and love to mix them into food in different ways. A favorite dish of mine...

1 Cup Whole Wheat Pasta
3 Cups Mixed Veggies (Cooked Lightly in my Wok with Water)
  • Spinach
  • Green Peppers
  • A little Onion
  • Green Beans
  • Zucchini
  • Sometimes Mushrooms
Mix the Pasta and Veggies together and put a 1/2 Cup Red Sauce on it... (Love Newmans Marinara)

You get a HUGH plate of food with low calories and high fiber.

I quit drinking beer and stopped having big breakfasts and dropped 25 pounds without even trying. With some exercise I've dropped 15 more. Keep it up...it's definitely doable and gets easier as you go along.

Good Luck!

Seltzer. Lots and lots of Seltzer.

I was drinking way too much. It was time to quit for awhile.

a great brand of whole wheat pasta is Dellalo. They sell it in Whole Foods. It tastes great. I need to get motivated and start going to the gym.

I should do that one of these times too. Maybe next week.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

I've been staying up too late, exercising too little, and eating too much, and I feel like hell lately.

I hadn't weighed myself in months. This morning, I weighed in at 214. Last year, I was down to nearly 200. Ugh.

I may plan on a 5k in the spring, just to have something to work toward. Pisses me off because I had actually been to the point where I could run 3+ miles on the treadmill (slowly, but still running). Now I get winded going up the stairs. Time to get off my ass.
