That guy must have been a total ass for them to go that far.
Timmy's coffee rocks! Here's an action shot for Hock:

Poor bastard!
Obviously he doesn't know Tim Horton's policy on fresh coffee - anything older than 20 minutes is thrown down the drain. I don't think a pot of coffee would last 20 minutes anyway.

Yeah, I'm siding with Timmy's on this one.
For a company to turn down business for life? From two locations? He really must have been a total pain in the ass. Probably demanding free stuff left and right. If you're so unhappy with their product, and they don't resolve it to your satisfaction, why would you continue to go there and give them your money? If you got food poisoning from McDonalds, would you keep going back? There's a reason that I haven't gone near Pizza Hut pizza in 15 years! And he's trying to overturn the ban? what a pain in the ass. His momma must not have given him enough one on one time or played with him enough.

Disclaimer: I don't buy coffee. I have always been dissatisfied with the taste of coffee in Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. That, and I'm stingy and prefer to save my money.
HOWEVER... I'm with Tim Horton's on this. First off, if you are drinking decaf coffee you deserve to be boiled in oil. Second, if you are enough of a crybaby to go to court over coffee, you suck as a human. That's just clogging up the courts with frivolous lawsuits. Third, if the coffee there is that bad to you, why do you want the ban overturned so you can go back? Makes no sense, eh?

Mmmm Tim Hortons.... Mmmmmm
I am siding with the store... The customer is not ALWAYS right. Sometimes a DB just needs to be sent away. I am sure it is no simple decision to ban someone. Then the DB is going to court to be allowed back... Why to complain some more bout the coffee?

Yeah I'd have to agree with Tim Horton's - Having been with McDonald's for 181/2 years I can tell you unequivocally that the customer is NOT always right. Granted, 99% of the time, they are... but there is always that 1% that just cannot be satisifed. It looks like they did about all they could to help this guy and he just wanted to be a noodge. I also agree that decaf coffee drinkers have no place on this earth... that's the whole point! lol And if the owner is the one that carried out the ban, then the guys issues must have been serious, because I know that it's not a popular thing to turn away customers for an owner.

Anyways....I read this last night on my touch. I agree with Timmies all the way. This guy is a douche. After they brewed him fresh pots to satisfy him and he still complained. Sounds like he just can't help himself. Other places have the same issues. Obviously he is a $hit disturber. What made me laugh is him trying to sue to be able to go to his precious Timmies. You don't know what you've got until is gone my friend. LOL. I still have a big tin in my fridge that I drink once a week in between brews of Starbucks. It's my last one though so I'll have to get me mum to send me some more! Can't wait till my summer trip home. I drink enough Timmies on that trip to keep the stock high all year. It's amazing. As for dunkin. It makes me gag. They put a new one in on my way to everywhere around here. I've broke down a couple of times in a pinch, but I'll drive to the Teeter for Starbucks or to the little coffee shop (as I did this morning) before hitting that place most often. My son likes the muffins though. It's our thing he likes to do on Friday when he don't have school and after we drop off his brother.

I think the guy is a douche, if the coffee was so bad why do you want to go back, but of course all we know is what they said. I often buy a cup from village pantry if I am on the road early (ya I'm not a coffee snob, it just needs to be black and strong), anyways I had a couple of really bad cups from there, it was like the water went through old grounds, it was enough to irritate me, finally it happened often enough that I realized it was only when one woman was working, she wasn't adding new grounds when she brewed a fresh pot. So if she is there I skip it and hit another gas station going out of town. My point is, just because this place had "policies", doesn't mean the employees are sticking to them, and even if they did brew a fresh batch it doesn't mean the equipment is working okay, hell it could have been the manager trying to make his store look a little better by cutting corners, you never know what is really going on. But the guy is still a douche for caring so much.

I can't vouch for every store, but the coffee there across the Country and in the US is pretty consistent. They do throw out old coffee, but as others have said it's not usually necessary. It gets bought. I've never had burnt tasting coffee in all my life there. Pretty sure.
Most of that gas station stuff gives my tummy an ache. It's dreadful. Sugar and lots of creme. Flavoured sometimes to make it drinkable. LOL.
