Just got some brand new New Balance running shoes. But for the walking I have some of the Skechers Shape-ups.

I need to replace the tube in my bike. Also it's a matter of finding time when I can bike. I was doing my running late night.

If you happen to have/buy a bike trailer/Chariot carrier, that may allow you to go during the day. I know that is what I do with my son, put him the Chariot after lunch and while he naps I'm on a 2 hour bike ride (or in the winter a 2 hour walk). We usually stop at a playground somewhere to let him play and then carry on our way. Depending when we leave sometimes we pack a lunch or snack and stop part way.

The nice thing with the Chariot is that it's very versatile, can add a jogging wheel (for when you start back on the Couch to 5K), stroller wheels (for the mall or indoors), hook it up to the bike, add skis for the winter, and add a harness for hiking. They are a bit on the pricey side, BUT well worth the money and versatility. The nice thing is their resell value is good as well. I'd be lost without ours - it was a worthwhile investment and highly recommend it. Your health is worth the price of the Chariot - at least that is how I rationalized it for myself (and to my wife).

I'm in week 3 of this program. Going pretty well -- I like all the variations to keep things interesting. After failing to do a 5k last year, I'm looking to this program to get some motivation. So far, so good.

Some of the step ups week to week are rough, we did a couple week and a half runs too. Keep at it, it was fun to run a couple 5ks. Realize it's just as easy to go from 5k back to the couch, too.
