Overcast with a chance of rain.
It was sunny and 52 yesterday for a major change, so we were at the park from 10 am till 12:30. Got some much needed UV rays. Bloody hell I miss winters in Tucson. Atleast this morning the cloud cover stops just shy of the northern horizon line, exposing the snow coverred Canadian mountain range 60 miles away, always an incredible site to see. Lucky for me, I've got nothing better to do than sit around sipping tea, looking at the view all day.

58 under the carport, right nowe. was up to 60. Opened up the windows to get some new air in here. 20 minutes later the heat came on. Mission accomplished.
I thought I heard there was a snow storm on its way.

We got stuck in a blizzard in the car this weekend, a first for me. Scared the 11 yr old a little. 50 - 60 mph winds and lots of snow. Amazing how it would hide even other headlights in the dark. We sat it out for a while thinking we'd sleep in the car, then followed a snow plow down to a cool little motel.
Earlier in the day a big tree blew over behind my son on a ski run. All came out well in the end though, just a little more adventure.

I stopped watching TWC because of their sensationalism and their environmentalist agenda. Seeing some idiot hanging on to a street sign for dear life during a hurricane got to be too much as well, though they have high quality weather bimbos.
Anyway today the schools have all wimped out over 3" of snow. Justin's school follows the city school district's lead and all-out canceled. Wimps. The roads out here in the suburbs are clear but I guess downtown they're having trouble navigating those narrow streets with those huge trucks. Whatever happened to city steam heat I wonder? They need to pull their heads out of their asses and focus on the avenues and maybe get up before 4 during a storm. My kindergartner has "modified" K today which for PM Kindergarten is about a 50 minute delay. It's just as well since Justin is sick anyway. |
