Holy crap.

Took a couple years for the fly tying world to recover from Steven Tyler putting grizzly patterned feathers hung from roach clips in his hair.
Yesterday, at my local flyshop I found Grizzly 100s from the whiting company.
One man caused a worldwide shortage.

How do you guys handle Back to School night? My wife is working late, our sitter isn't available and they ask you not to bring the kids. I was talking to my brother and he said their school provided a room and supervision for the kids to hang out while the parents attended.

Bring something that you know will hold their attention and put them in the corner....just tell the teacher you had no other options.

Both our kids' schools encourage bringing the children. They even have the kids make stuff to show off as well as recruit them as tour guides. I agree it's a bit much but they don't expect much more than a meet and greet, not a full blown parent/teacher conference.

This is what our school does. We got it started when I was involved with PTA, they pay the after school care folks to stay late. The principal helps a lot too.

Our school provides some babysitting since most of us babysit also as a form of supplemental income, we know of others that we can refer.

we had a field trip at my little girls pre school today.
Went to an apple orchard/farm and learned about how things grow.
Pretty cool! Got 4 fresh picked apples, 2 punkins and some fresh apple cider, with the price of admission.
