Good morning,

For some reason the superintendent decided to preemptively schedule two hour delays for the rest of the week - after canceling classes outright yesterday

Meanwhile, I CANNOT get my kid to wear his winter coat; he INSISTS on wearing a hoodie and sweat pants! The best I can do is get him to wear a HAT and the liner to his winter coat. Also, we got him to wear gloves but all Wal Mart had in stock were women's Isotoner gloves.

So today after Joey gets on the bus I have to drive my mother back to the airport. I'm sad to see her go but at the same time I'm ready to get back in the grind.

Getting the kids to dress appropriately for the weather conditions is a fight I gave up on, my kid leaves for the bus in a hoodie and sweatpants, it was 2 degrees out. Been this way for years, including the oldest. Now I just mention the temp and if it's really cold suggest an extra layer.

+1!

It was about 5* out the other day and I see what I am sure was a college kid home for the Holidays walking through he supermarket parking lot in Khaki shorts and topsiders. Way too cool for school.

I knew a middle schooler in Wyoming who always wore basketball shorts to school and his Dad had given up arguing about dressing warmer. Even at 20 below.
Good morning.

Good morning. They cancelled school today due to the cold and flu. I was really looking forward to getting back to the grind as well. Hopefully, they will be back in school tomorrow.

Good morning,

Two hour delay here for the cold and I literally chased Joey around the driveway in big circles playing "anti Toro" with his winter coat. At least he's wearing the liner and hat and gloves. He'd be singing a different tune if they did toboggan riding at gym class.
