Default Son Home Sick Again!!!

My son was treated for a double ear infection last month. When I brought him back for an ear check, he still had fluid in one ear. I'm supposed to bring him for anither ear check next week. Over the weekend he has been spiking high fevers again. I think the infection has come back again. I'm bringing him to the doctor later this morning.
The last time he was sick, he was out of school for a whole week. I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again this week.

ear infections are the pits! My boy has always had problems with them, finally our Ped. gave up and sent us to the Ear,nose and throat spec. he took one look and suggested tubes, this helped allot! he still gets a occasional infection but not nearly as often as he was, at one point we just couldn't get them to go away, now we just have to watch him after swimming. Good luck and yes I also feel your pain!

Well, I was right, he has another double ear infection. And now to top it off, my daughter came home from preschool with a temp. It just doesn't get any better than this! LOL. I'm bracing myself for another fun week here.

We looked into the ear tubes when my son was 4 but then he stopped getting the infections for a while so we didn't go through with it. Maybe we should have.

My sister actually had to get them at age 40 -- you are never too old, I guess.
