Default Today I Played, Again pt 2

Don, is there there any way we can resurrect YouTube embedding in vBulletin?

Or should we just go to direct links? Either way, I miss seeing what everybody's listening to/thinking about.

is what's on here tonight. One beauty, one stumbling drunk!

Little early 90s curiosity. Bad hats, great tune. Unlikely fact, Eddie Van Halen and Jerry Garcia both played backup on this album.

Noddy Holder had a most excellent voice for rock. Here in the states these guys just didn't get the attention they deserved.

I've been following a local musician on the Periscope app. He plays fingerstyle arrangements of pop songs from the 70s up to present day on nylon string guitar.

He does some pretty funky things on guitar.

BTW, I met up with him during the intermission at the Tommy Emmanuel show. I think my wife was jealous of his nails - which are obviously fake and probably take a lot more wear and tear because he puts them to use.

Looks like he's on his way to copying Willie Nelson's guitar Kwak!

Ah yes ... "Trigger." That guitar is an icon. It's a Martin N-20 gut string classical made in Nazareth, PA and Willie bought it in Nashville in 1969 after a drunk destroyed his previous guitar. When Willie's house went up in flames he ran in and saved it and a bag of weed. Over the years he's worn through the spruce top because he plays with a pick and he's got many signatures of fellow country musicians etched into it. It's priceless because the guitar rarely leaves Willie's side and when it goes I suspect that Willie would soon follow.
