Muggy, overcast, more rain storms. The ground feels like a wet sponge or a bog when you walk, squish underfoot and hear the air come out 6 feet away.

Last night at about 12:30 am the sirens started going off. The wife was the first to hear it then I did... The wind was shaking the house so the wife grabbed the baby we woke the boys and headed down to the basement. We could hear the strong winds and the sirens blazing for more then 30 minutes.

During a lull in the storm I checked the weather and there were spots all over the area indicated Tornado Warnings and the sirens went off again warning everyone to head for cover.

Well apparently only micobursts hit the area, but we had a long night... By 1:30 the storms stopped and no more sirens could be heard...

This morning I am really tired...

I sleep with my windows open to hear any big changes in weather, and the increased rain did get me up around 1:12am, but that was it, no sirens to warn us.

Checked the rain gauge, over 4" in it this morning. Sheesh.

How did the kids handle the adventure Darth? Those straightline winds can be fierce, we get them plenty around here, a little unsettleing when the walls and ceiling are heaving.

I inspected a house Tuesday. It was 99 outside and 124 in the attic. I spent 30+ minutes inspecting the attic.

Jelous yet?

The temps have finally fallen to the 90 mark for the first time in nearly two weeks. It's been 97-101 for a while already. This will be one hot summer.

What is rain? It has been about a month since we had any. Sure could use it.
