Holy crap, no hadn't heard of it. Well if they want to generate controversy(which I'm sure they do), that ought to do it. Those little kids are doing stuff that in NFL would be harsh penalties and big fines it looked like to me.

Cut their heads off and let them bleed. Nice. Sounds like the poster coaches of what's wrong with kid's sports. Give me the days when I just went to the neighbors and we played football in their yard for hours, no adults involved. Maybe at least it'll shine some light on the absurdity of it all, sounded like some of the moms they showed got that.

Read the replies, then clicked on the link. Read a few sentences, then saw that it is set in Texas. That explains it!

While I still follow sports, I've whittling away some of my sporting interests as time goes on. Articles like these and books like (The Smartest Kids In The World) help speed the process.

I played sports all through school. I don't know if I want my children to play. Sportsmanship and fun seems to be being taken out of it all. Winning is fun but that is not the main lesson that needs to be taught in my opinion.
