That's funny, Mark. Canadians won a double gold medal with that one.

LOLz, Mark. You're in rare form today. I bet your head was gonna explode with the site being down.

That being said, I think the US having to play the very next day for the bronze when they played so strong up to that point really hurt them. From what I've seen, most hockey players need at least a day to recuperate - or at least be able to brood and lick their wounds. Meanwhile, the winner essentially got a bye.

Whatever though. There were plenty of putzes on the US team too.

I have never really liked him and have taken take a lot of gruff from other Ranger fans. He was just the wrong guy in the right place in NY. Good riddance! Many are starting to come around and see him for what he is. a decent 2-3 line defensive forward. Nothing more. He is not even a good leader. That being said I fully expect Ranger's GM Glen Sather to sign him. Talk about a one hit wonder.

I think it must be that so many people when watching a game must miss the lack of a back check in a players game, and on the flip side, if a player has a few good hits here and there, and sacs for shot blocks, shows some grit in the scrums, then most fans (mistakenly) think a guy is great.

I'm certainly no scout, but as a Red Wings fan, the back check is the first thing you evaluate.

That's really cool QV!! Congrats! Yeah, I've been watching some of it with the kids...they really enjoyed watching them ski and play hockey. Very inspiring.
