Come to the midwest and you can get pleny of 'coon. I wouldn't eat them though, they taste a bit like sea gull.

(Its a joke, see.)

Anyway, scanvengers don't make for good eating and squirrels are just too small for the work of gutting and cleaning.

lol your cold lol. Really, i heard they taste like lamb. so there isnt any place that sells that, squirll or moose meat?

as for moving to the midwest, its a VERY possible thing. Michigan, or indiana, or even the south, texas, Georgia, MUCH MUCH MUCH more welcoming and friendlier folk there, even nj. and houses are CHEEEAP!

The only way for you to get 'coon, moose or bear is to shoot it yourself or know someone who does. There are some elk farms around that might sell the meat, but...

Do it yourself, it would be very educational to really learn where your food comes from.

How many?

Skinned?
Gutted?

Did you want them packed in dry ice?

Current market around here fresh, no hide is.... $25. CASH ONLY.

Any of you actually tried any of these? I've had Beaver (the real one), muskrat, raccoon, squirrel, deer, moose, bison, rabbit, duck and so on. Not saying I liked them all though.

C'mon Hock, give me some credit. Just because I live in a city now...

Lessee, squirrel, rabbit, duck, bison, elk, phesant, deer (I grew up in WI after all...)

Never had racoon though. I did actually know some folks that killed and ate a sea gull, ring bill gull to be exact, and the way they described it made me know for 100% certain that I would never try it.

That is truly sick. A seagull? Yuck. Besides being illegal, it's disgusting. You are what you eat. I have tried pheasant, but never ate elk that I can think of. I too live in a City now, but was once a town livin, farm workin, hunting, redneck from Ontario. I wasn't a big duck fan so I stopped hunting them. I loved to duck hunt though, but if you aren't going to eat it...also as for rabbit. I shot one once that had so many fleas on it, the fur was vibrating. I was repulsed and had to stop. Even caught chickens once to send to the slaughterhouse. This was at a farm for summer work. Only did that once and it caused me to stop eating chicken for months. I loved chicken too. I'm all better now. It's been a while since I've picked up road kill and ate it. About 10 years. It was a ruffed grouse. It was good too.
