So Monday we ended up going to a bunch of different breweries on our way home. Couple good ones, couple okay ones, and one I didnít really enjoy anything they had. But overall it was fun. We let the kids drag along their iPads so they pretty much just played Minecraft while we drank beer. It was a good day off for everyone.

Wife has her company holiday party in Northern VA so the girls are staying with the in-laws for the night and we will spend rest of the weekend there. Wife is staying in the area for work next week so I am trying to figure out how to time the drive home sunday so that I am home in time for the football games.

Not much going on today. Going to 4:30 Mass to clear our schedule tomorrow. We are all working at an animal rescue event that friends have organized. I guess it will be watching football games after that.

Wife's company party was a good time. I small talked and schmoozed the heck out of everyone - fulfilling my job as an exec's spouse. We both drank a little more than usual so Saturday was a little bit of a struggle. Actually got up, had breakfast, and went back to bed. Didn't leave the hotel until almost 11. Kids had a great time with my in-laws. They feel guilty they never visit (we live 4 hours from them but I don't think they could get into our house. MIL is mostly in a wheel chair b/c of Polio and FIL has lots of leg issues) so MIL loves to take the girls shopping.

Made it home in time yesterday for the 2nd half of the 1st game. Though I listened to the 1st half in the car.

A dozen or so of my daughter's friends are coming over tonight for a surprise sweet 16B-day party for her. Lots of running around today.

With a bunch of teenagers if there was only one issue Iíd count that as a rousing success!

Another busy weekend here (with no sports going on right now either). MIL and SIL are in town to see other SIL and wedding dress shop so we are meeting them for dinner tonight. Have a friends 40th bday party tomorrow night and then church and Super Bowl on sunday. I am a huge football fan so I usually avoid the SB parties and with the wife flying out to San Diego sunday morning I will be able to watch the game at home.
