Way back when my wife felt this way too. She probably still does. I mentioned that since our boys pretty much do swan dives off the couch and climb the walls while inside the house we might as well get one of those big trampolines with the net cage for the outside.

Then she went and bought a new couch.

So tonight we'll be attending our first ever PTA meeting. Yeah, we decided to go and see what it's all about. Plus maybe we'll actually meet some of the other parents as most of our friends have moved off, or are single which basically means we never see them.

Anyway, curious to see if the PTA lives up to all the crazy town hype.

Half day of school tomorrow for the kids because the Pope is coming, they're shutting down all the major roads into and out of Philly. They're putting port o Johns on 422 which is out by me (Kwak knows the road), probably 20 miles nw of the city, water stations too. It's crazy, the Popacolypse

Yup. I lived in the apartments overlooking the 202/422 junction in Valley Forge, not far from the national park's entrance. Bad place for backups because of the turnpike entrance and the Shurekyll Expressway.

Port o' Johns though, now THAT's funny.

As for the Pope, I belong to a Protestant denomination so I view his visit as more political than spiritual. Not there isn't genuine good in his message but I just get the feeling that a lot of it is PR over how's the Catholic Church has been viewed in recent times.

Doug Gottlieb is talking about this on the radio right now....says that if he won the lottery (we're talking PowerBall....Hundreds of millions) that he would still come to work the next day.

I'm calling BS!!! on anyone who claims this! Even if you really LOVE your job. Find a way to do what you love about it in another way. (eg: I was a teacher. If you really can't give up whatever intrinsic value your job gives you, go volunteer at the boys and girls club a couple days a week).

I know you hear of people who do this. You also hear of the people who are broke in a year. I'd hire a wealth management firm, make a few hundred grand a year off the interest and do whatever I wanted. Get out of Wisconsin and head to Jamaica for 2 months in the winter. Yes, please! When I finally kick it, I'd donate the principal to charity. But work....NO WAY!!!

Glad I live out yonder in the hills.

I'm not Roman Catholic either.

Need more of that... Not the people on the phones, but the people on the phones being dragged out in cuffs.

Got a call to sub for Kindergarten Tuesday next week.

Someone pray for me. If I can survive that I can survive any class, I'm thinking. :P
