Good morning. I just got back from the pub. Thanks, guys. I needed some laughs.

Everything seems like it's breaking lately.... the a/c in my wife's car, the mower, the dryer, my pc. Just one thing after another is nickel and diming me to death.

Good morning,

I forgot to set up my wife's coffee the night before last but she didn't blow up over it - though she would have any other time. I knew that I'd screwed up yesterday morning and got up with her and apologized. Not to forestall an argument but to affirm that I did not deliver on a promise. When she got roped into a conference call at bedtime and looked like she wasn't going to set it up herself I made sure to set it up for her this morning. It's not because I'm afraid of her blowing up but because I know that her anger is displaced by stress from work. In fact, she'll be working from home today (because she was on a late night conference call) and my goal is to be productive but otherwise out of her hair, though I did pour her a cup and took it up to her as she was already in another call by 7:30.

Good morning. Must have slept in a bad position because my neck and shoulders are killing me.

Good morning,

I feel like I got a good night's sleep last night, though my poor wife was still up until 2am on a conference call over a work issue. Her birthday is coming up and I need to do something nice for her like she did for me.

Good morning. Not a bad night's sleep at all.

Kwak, maybe take her to dinner and a movie?

Good morning. Third day in a row starting my morning with the sounds of construction. They are putting new water pipes and such in. We've always had abysmal water pressure - technically under the limit for how much we're supposed to have. They said they would finally address the issue last year but never got around do to it, but this year is finally the year.

Summertime is the time of year when they like to dig up the roads because school is out I guess.

My town here is full of detours from the water and gas companies digging up the main route between here and anywhere I need to be every day. The weather is in on it too, we've lost power 4 times in the last 3 weeks because of all the bad thunderstorms. I have no idea how; our neighborhood has underground power lines.
