A few days ago I got a package in the mail from my dad. Apparently one night after having a couple too many he was reading an article about some 3D printer on kickstarter. So yeah, he ended up ordering one. When he got it, had no clue why he even wanted it, so mailed it to us. Been playing with it for a couple days making little minecraft things for the kids. Been looking through all the freely available designs and starting to build up a collection of neat things I want to try printing at some point.

It's not the best 3D printer in the world. It was a kickstarter program to create a much more affordable 3D printer then the 1200 and up ones that most cost. But it's kind of fun, and the kids love watching it and helping me decide what we're going to print next.

I'll have to post some pictures once I get it more figured out. Still has trouble with some smaller items, but it did a great job of printing minecraft swords and axes and pick axes and the kids have been having tons of fun with those.

Have any plans to vacation in Mexico? These stories are all too similar to just be coincidence.

This guy and his family will not step foot in Mexico, or Jamaica, for other reasons than this but this just adds fuel to the fire.

We've been to Jamaica twice and would go back. Never felt unsafe or had any problems at the resorts. Get off the resorts and I hear you have to watch yourself. We only ever left the resort with tour groups. Can't say Mexico was ever on my list of places to visit. Another popular place I can say that I have never had a desire to go to is Las Vegas.

I have no problem with Aruba or Curacao. San Marteen was nice too. Mexico or Jamaica, though. Nope. Too many "hey Joes*" loafing around looking to separate my money from me for my tastes. It's bad enough the resorts are rip offs much less serving questionable spirits. I'd much rather vacation in Canada where at least everybody's polite and the beer and wine is decent.

* back in my Navy days, there would always be panhandlers or con artists selling inferior goods hanging out at the pier waiting for us to get off the ship. The only English they seemed to know was "Hey Joe, spare a dollar?" or "want to buy something?" and literally shove it in your hands. Ironically, I worked for a guy from Columbia who one day bumped into me to "educate" me on how I need to carry my wallet.
