That's great, Tomcat. Great to see it as a family event as well - something that everyone will remember. Looks like a great time.

This weekend will be all about "keeping it together." My mother in law flies in tonight and then on Friday she and my wife will be going on a mini vacation to Niagara on the Lake. I will be with the boys for 4 days, 3 nights completely solo. I have plans to do stuff with them on Saturday but the weather is not going to be nice at all on Sunday. It's going to be really tough for Justin. As soon as we mentioned that grandma is coming he's been really excited but when he gets off the school bus on Friday afternoon to find that both she and his mother will be gone until Monday I'm afraid that he's going to be confused and upset. Since they'll be in Canada - and hitting a LOT of wineries - I doubt we'll even get a phone call much less Facetime.

Anyway, Saturday will be mundane stuff like raking leaves, maybe go for a walk or two (if I can tear Joey away from the XBOX,) go out to the grocery store for pizza, LOTS of arts and crafts - but all in all I don't know if I have enough to do for 15 solid hours (6AM-9PM.) Lord give me strength.

Started the weekend off yesterday with my son's belated birthday party. We held it at the gym at my wife's school. Invited 10 kids so in the end there were 6 who came. They had fun - who wouldn't at that age, the whole gym, access to all the gym equipment, no rules - go wild. LOL!!!! Kids made a maze out of the gym mats by putting them up on end and linking them together. Then played floor hockey. The time went by too quickly in my opinion and could have been longer, but they enjoyed themselves.

It's cold out, and the last couple of weeks have been busy, so I think we'll stay put for the day, and get things done in the house. I say that, but then that usually goes out the window before noon. LOL!!! But I need to study.

Santa Claus parade is tomorrow, so may take our son to it. I'm curious how much longer he's going to believe in Santa - I suspect this will be the last year, if he doesn't figure it out this year.

My wife is out of town. I'm running kids to hockey, figure skating, playdates, and a 5yo's birthday party. Bourbon tonight after everyone is in bed.
