Planning some family bicycle riding or just hiking this weekend. That's going to be our first serious trip since my leg injury. I coped with it but I still have some troubles and need special footwear, something like this site suggests. Also I can't walk fast for now, but that's just a matter of time my doctor said.

I'll be firing-up the smoker for a couple boneless pork butts, and hopefully putting some time into finishing the fire pit.

Lesbaru going in for a brake inspection and tire rotation, then some ladies come to talk to us about fostering little kids.
I'm out on the fostering. I don't need the stress. I'll be doing most of the work.
Stress causes seizures.
I told her I disagree. Every time she brings it up, and rambles on and on, I have a mini seizure (a petit mal/ simple partial/ focal seizure) and have to override the implant and put it in hyper shock so I don't progress into a grandmal.
She's in the room, across from me at he table, and not putting 1 and 1 together.

It's just a program introduction discussion apparently. I'm thinking of throwing little signs to the ladies that I'm not in agreement. Hell, I'm pretty sure that "my husband has Epilepsy," is a disqualifier. I'll let you know if my wife brings that up.

I thought your wife wanted to adopt? If so, you’re just along for the ride. Try to keep it together, but for some making others twitchy is a hobby.

You are correct. "My husband has Epilepsy" got us disqualified.

As the lady went on about the paperwork and requirements and screenings and interviews and references and background checks, and fingerprints, and rules and blah blah blah... My wife decided no.
There's also a conflict of interest. Her firm often represents these people who have issues with CFS. We would be agents/ partners of CFS. No can do.

She knew I was disabled. My wife told her before today. She never asked the nature of my disability. Sure it would have come up eventually. We did talk about me raising our daughter since the day she was born, homeschooling her, shuttllng her from place to place.

We went over to our friends' house to watch Penn State beat Michigan. Yesterday Kelly cooked chicken parmesan and we took it with us on our Sunday visit to Justin's house. The kid loves his carbs.

Next weekend we're probably going to take him on an outing. It's been too long. He's craving it more than the carbs.

We’re having friends over tomorrow night so we’re straightening the place up. They don’t need to see the state of the upstairs!

Sunday we’re going to do an outing with Justin. Kelly and I need to put our heads together though; the weather will not be agreeable.

This thread has been neglected but I'll give it a poke...

It's the last weekend before Christmas and most of the festivities have already happened. The in-laws came and went. We attended two holiday parties. We're JUST about ready for Christmas. All that's really left if for Kelly to make cutout cookies for Justin. Much as she hates making them, he asked and she spoils him with food.

First we're planning on taking Justin to the zoo on Sunday. It should be empty. I know it doesn't sound like much, but we have to coordinate with his caregivers who have to transport him; we're technically not supposed to have him all to ourselves just yet. Even still, this holiday season is worlds better than the last three since he now has his own space to live in to fill with personal property. We've bought him LOTS of clothes and there will be several big boxes under/next to their tree.
