Field trip with my service dog in training. Ride the train, mass transit. Down to next stop, get off, get next return-stop. Sunday, there's a kiddy birthday party and NFL.

Dinner and bowling with another couple last night. Always fun to hit a nice restaurant and then go bowling. Not a very good bowler but it's a good time for after dinner fun.

I'm surviving the weekend so far. Only a few more hours... well, five or six before she gets home. Headache isn't too bad, kids are separated. It's fairly quiet.

That sounds like one of my weekends. How are you holding up? My wife at least bought some good beer to take the edge off: Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

We made it, she came home earlier than I thought. Went to Tara's hockey game, they got another shutout win, three games and only one goal on Tara!! That'll change as the season continues but we're enjoying it for now.

Awesome. That's not a total loss then. I really need to find an activity like that for my kids. I'd also like to get my wife more invested in such things. Everyone else I know take turns; our weekends seem to revolve around shopping.

We've got one in traveling hockey, one in figure skating and the littlest just started hockey, too. If you're worried about shopping being expensive let me tell ya... :O

We have fun with it though and the girls enjoy it.

I've always preferred that my kids get into music. My big guy likes to bang on the conga in music therapy and my little guy is showing a strong interest in wanting to learn the piano. My wife has idly lamented that she'd like to take voice lessons.

Music is cheap. I'm searching for an old parlor piano to "rescue" and a student conga drum can be had for $80. Music LESSONS OTOH are expensive and nobody is willing to listen to me to teach them for free.

Tara plays piano and viola, Leah plays violin. We found a piano on craigslist free it was a player piano but the mechanism doesn't work all the air tubes are dryrotted. Plays fine, though except for a key or two that doesn't work. :P Having it professionally moved was a bit expensive but way easier than doing it ourselves.

I noticed the other day that there are always numerous free upright piano's on CL. Some look beautiful and supposedly only need tuning. . If I had the room I would get one.......just because. Nobody here plays. Good luck TT3!
