This weekend is all about hockey. Tomorrow morning the youngest has hockey practice. After that we head up to Syracuse where the wife and I will be playing a game at the War Memorial as part of a promotion with the Syracuse Crunch. Then we stick around to watch the Crunch play (the kids will get the chance to see something a little faster than us old beer league guys). Sunday morning starts with hockey practice for the youngest, then hockey practice for the oldest, then to Cortland for a hockey game for the oldest (his first ever game). Then back home for a brief spell before the wife and I head out to play our regular adult league game.

There might even be an hour or two of sleep in there somewhere.

I'm kinda glad my oldest quit hockey.

She was tired of the girls bs, the upcoming tryouts and ready to try something new. Now she's in nordic skiing (cross country skiing) and loves it.

I'm finishing up the trim and sealing around the sliding door we did last weekend and working on other "honey do" projects.

Have a great weekend guys!

Sounds fun, I like to go to at least 1 Crunch game a year, it's usually very entertaining hockey.

Wife has her Christmas party Saturday night and we get away overnight and her company is paying for the room plus the party. Not sure if it will be fun or not, I have not hung out with any of her coworkers.

Just drink a lot, Don. That always helps! :P

My wife would kill me if I got trashed at a company party hahaha! Her hospital is too big for anything like that. The IT department is huge.

Anyway...

Sounds like you guys have some good weekend plans. We are taking the winter season off from sports. We are going to see a play tomorrow with the girls and then some Christmas shopping. We are surprising the girls with a trip to Universal the week before Christmas, which they will be super excited about- we have moved past the Disney princess stage and into the Harry Potter / superhero's. Only downside is it moves up our Christmas schedule a week or so.

I believe there is open bar We used to have fun at her last company Christmas parties. This company is smaller and I'm sure word would get around about the CFO's drunk ass husband, acting a fool, lol.

Going to a charity Gala tomorrow night. Back tie, or as in my case, black suit. I would rather donate the money I would pay to rent a monkey suit to the charity. Usual bs aside from that.

In our 23 years together I think Iíve only been to 2 or 3 of my wifeís company functions. Iíd jump at the chance. Itís not like I get obnoxious when I drink; my wife needs me to be the sober one. Just one of thee days Iíd love to have as god old fashioned husband/wife getaway but I feel like chopped liver.

Anyways, this weekend is typical. My wife is out with her friend getting her nails done (theyíre doing dinner too but itís a girls only thing) and then her workout group (which I donít belong to) is going for a group run. Then on Sunday night I have to play in the church Christmas concert.

Kind of a crazy Saturday today. We skipped skiing this morning to sleep in. Kid has a birthday party to go to, then Kenpo, then off to a friends house for gingerbread house building for the kids and drinking for adults.
Maybe we'll ski tomorrow.
Have a great weekend guys!

Adult Christmas party last night. Winter Carnival at the girls elementary school this morning. Baking cookies and making gingerbread houses this afternoon. Church tomorrow. Weather today makes it a great stay inside day.
