Wife's turning 30 this weekend. Sushi tonight then going into Charlotte tomorrow for a nice dinner and leaving the L1 at home with a sitter. Sunday, hitting up the Panthers game. Should be fun.

Mmm sushi. Have fun!!!

My neighbour went to Charlotte for a 5K Cancer run today. I'm watching her dog. Enjoy the game. Let's get a "W".

My daughters birthday is October 10th, so we are having a party for her tomorrow(Saturday) at a park near us. Nothing fancy just a play date with a few of her friends.

My wife's mother is retired and is coming to stay with usto help out since it is getting real close to my wifes due date. Thankfully she is really cool and I get along with her well, plus the extra help will be greatly appreciated.

Had a meeting for a provincial convention I'm chairing this morning (two weeks and it's over, can't wait - have been planning it for the last 1-1/2 years). My son didn't have K this morning so had to get a sitter and we invited one of his friends over that he hasn't seen for over 2 weeks; as her K is in the afternoon, while his is in the morning. Fortunately, the babysitter has also babysat her, so I think they had a great time.

Raked leaves this afternoon, pulled out frozen plants.

It's Thanksgiving weekend up here, so lots of activities.

Tomorrow we are going to Pumpkin Hollow, with the above mentioned friend of my son and her parents. Looks like loads to do, corn maze, hay rides, corn canon, cow train, the list goes on. It's only open from beginning of Sept to end of October. So we plan on having fun with the kids and friends. Especially since during the summer we saw one another almost daily and now it's few and far between - haven't gotten together with them for over two weeks.

Toying with the idea of going to the Bob Dylan concert that is here tomorrow night with the above friend. Prices are a bit steep for what I would pay to hear Bob Dylan - we'll see. I suspect in the end I will not go, even though there are still tickets available (which surprises me).

The inlaws will make a 6 hour trek and come on Sunday (they are bringing the turkey) so we'll have our Thanksgiving feast Sunday evening and then they will make the 6 hour drive back Monday after brunch.

Have loads of convention work to get done over the weekend so will try and fit that in when I can and see what I can get done. Will also try and finish raking leaves etc sometime during the weekend and do the winter prep work.

I am with my oldest son at the Branson National Motocross race. 4 day event. We are camping at the track with some friends. Good times!

Have fun Matt. I don't know how a guy can get a 4 day pass with 12 other kids at home and the wife working too. You are a lucky Dude.

On a lesser note, the wife and kids just pulled away to PA for a paultry 3 days as compared to Matt's gig. The weather here thus far is much better than predicted. Just me and the dog. Good times.

The convention is finally here. After 1-1/2 years of planning, meetings, and work, it all begins today at noon. A number of clinicians and guest artists arrived yesterday (those that had to fly in or are travelling a great distance), and the rest will arrive this morning. In the end, we fundraised $10,800 to help offset the costs, so depending on how well the concerts are attended, will depend what the bottom line is. Our budget is just over $25,000 for an event that starts at noon today and ends at 4:00 tomorrow.

I'm glad it's finally here, and I'll be glad when it's finally over. LOL!!!!
