Default Currrent Workout Program...I Like It...

Well I have finally gotten off my duff and am working to get in much better shape. I need to lose weight to help my arthritis, but working out hurts my arthritis. Well two weeks ago I could hardly walk one morning so I did a bunch of research last week. People with arthritic feet can benefit from running 3-5 miles a week. Not only will it help drop the pounds it will keep the ankles and feet loose. Yes there is impact, but everything I have now read said a light jog will actually help...

So this is what I do...

EA Sports Active: Two Days on, One Day Off - I LOVE IT!
Couch to 5K: 9 Week Program to get me running. After 2 days I am no longer afraid of running
Bicycle: Anytime I possibly can. For me this is never a workout no matter how hard I go at it. I enjoy riding so much. Looking forward to getting a recumbent in the Spring!!!!

I have also decided to not go nuts on the Diet front. Just eat as best as I can and workout.

Was 270
Currently 265
Goal 220
Dream Goal 199

I am also going to look to see what the local pools have to offer this winter for Open Swims and Lap Swims... I used to be a swimmer...

I am also flirting with setting a goal next spring of a Mini Triathlon... Not sure if that is too lofty. If I can get the running up to a good point I will consider that goal.

My biggest keys are to have GOALS... The EA ACTIVE Sets a GOAL, and the Couch to 5k Sets a goal and program...

I am actually excited about working out again...

I am thinking of doing a sprint tri. You ride 26 miles run a 5k and swim 400 meters. I think that would be something you could do if you keep doing what you are doing.
