Default Favorite Cooking Spices

All of this food talk has me wondering... what do people use most (or prefer to, ideally), when they cook? I've started cooking some new things (for me) and I'm always looking for new ideas, and spices are a place to start. My top three:

1. Cumin (no bad jokes, please) -- I love potatoes, and this is #1 for me. A gratin is great, but for less fatty fare, I love cumin (yeah, I know) and it's great in healthier potato dishes. I also use it in yogurt sauces.

2. Marjoram -- It used to be tarragon as a top two for me, but I've started to eat lots of mushrooms, and it's great in various sauteed mushroom dishes.

3. White Pepper -- I use it often to give a subtle kick to some potato dishes, soups, and other things. A definite fave.

Anyway, I'm not a 1/4 of the cook as many are here, so I'm wondering what you guys use, your essential list.

I guess, spices and herbs....

This time of year:
Oregano
Basil
cilantro

In the fall:

Sage

Any time:

Rosemary...

As for spices, Cumin, Coriander, Red Chili Pepper

I mostly use.....

lemon pepper
Mrs.Dash
Mrs.Dash herb blend
Mrs.Dash lemon pepper
onion chips
basil
meat seasoner

Yes I use alote of Mrs.Dash, it comes in many varieties and is very good.

My spice drawer is full, but my go-to list, I guess is:
garlic powder
chili powder
cumin
curry
chives
sea salt
black pepper

In the non-spice, but always-have and most used department:
olive oil
canola oil
worcestechire sauce
brown sugar
vinegar
flour
corn starch

I do like lawry's seasoned salt.
Dinosaur BBQ cajun spice
Dizzy's Butt Rub
Obie Cues Sunshine rub
John Henry's pecan rub (very good)
Too many other rubs to bother listing.
fresh basil
chives
white pepper is good
black pepper
kosher salt
and the list goes on and on and on.

I tend to use a lot of garlic in various forms. Powder, granulated, minced, chopped. Just depends on what I am making.

Will use a fair amount of basil.

I also like cumin and have recently started introducing yellow curry into certain things.

Lemon Pepper (not salt)

Thyme

I like Rosemary, but the wife isn't crazy about it so I don't use it as much as I would like.

Cayenne and crushed red peppers

White pepper

If I use salt it will be sea salt.
