I'm starting early this time. After gorging for a week of Thanksgiving dinners, parties, and leftover pie, I'm ready to get back to a routine. Who's with me?
Starting weight: 215 (was 201 back in May, my lowest since college). |

I'm not going to focus on weight loss, as I'll be training for a few events in 2010. So far I'm registered for the Vermont Key City Marathon on 5/30 and that Warrior thing on 9/18. In my sights are a local sprint triathlon here in town mid-june and possibly the Hartford Marathon in October.
With all the running and cross-training, my main goal is to just get in better physical shape. I know that's a broad and non-specific goal (which is generally a no-no), but I've been at this long enough to know I just gotta stick to the training plans that I lay out. Starting point: not in peak physical shape. How's that?

Yeah, I'm trying to get somewhere else than where I've been. Perhaps I need to sign up for another 5k or a 10k to get really motivated...
Starting point: not really pointed, more kind of round and soft...

I talked to my brother who's a big runner, and we agreed we'd do this local run together in the spring. It's a 5k. That's my goal, but the weight loss thing is helpful for me to keep track of.

I've been thinking about my middle lately too. I know I lost some weight int he 2009 thread, but I have no idea where I am now except that I have lost some weight and am in slightly better shape after a summer of hiking.
I just ordered a rowing machine to help work my muscles. I also have a trip to Disney coming up next month, so i need to start thinking about getting my legs in good endurance shape. |

I gained a ton of weight in 2009. I just bought a new gun belt, and my beer belly is just hanging all over that sucker.
I've gotta do something.

Earlier this week I stepped on the scale and hit my target weight of 220. That's down from my heaviest ever (295
Now I just have to keep it off. |
