I am still chuckling at that, I especially like the hands shaking at the end.

Good morning,

My experiment with letting Justin sleeping a lone in his room continues. He, came out, of his room at around 2 am, went in to check on mommy for a couple of minutes, then went back to his room, closed the door and went back to bed. I checked on him tend minutes later and he was sleeping with curtains closed; he wasn't still awake and staring out the windows. I don't know what woke him but apparently that urge was satisfied. All I know is that wifey was snoring pretty loudly and his brother was up a half hour before and was putzing about not too quietly and needed a little talking to to settle down. He'd gone to see mommy too. Wonder what that means?

When mommy left for work it was 5:30am. Justin woke up around 6 & calmly came downstairs. That seemed like a reasonable enough time to get up.

Anyway, my plan is to put some sort of motion detector at the top step. That should give us notice if he intends to wander. I just need to mount it in such a way that the kids can't reach it and the cat won't set it off.

Morning gents! Continued success with Justin's sleeping experiment. Sounds like nights are getting better in the Kwak household.

Mornin' gents! Glad to hear that everyone is sleeping a bit better in your house, Kwak. Hoping this continues. Sounds like Justin is learning to self-regulate a bit, so that is a huge accomplishment and I'm sure very encouraging.

Nope, but I have hope. I got maybe 7 hours of sleep in the last two days, but that was my fault playing XBOX and writing essays on the forums until 1:30AM. Tuttle is right: I need to blog or do something during the daytime to fatten up the resume. That way I can be better rested.

I warned my wife via text that I may slip in bed beside her one night. I didn't tell her that I intend to get up for the day with her and suggest some methods to conserve water. I don't have an ulterior motive there, not at all. ;)

First I want to get a motion sensor that has a remote alarm and mount it at the top step. I need to figure out a way to set it up so the cat doesn't set it off though. No sense waking up Joey.

That one has been getting up at night as well. I had to tuck him back in at 1:30AM because he was making noise shuffling around and opening/closing doors a little too loudly. I could hear him from downstairs so he may be partly responsible for Justin's 2AM waking.

Is Justin's bedroom door shut when he sleeps? Maybe a door activated type alarm could work?

We had problems with the "roommate" making too much noise closing doors as well. I got some of the little felt dots that are used on cabinet doors and put two or three on the door stop in the jamb. I also put some in the hole of the door catch. Huge difference in noise.
