Belated mumbled gud-muhnin' here.

Today is the second day that Justin didn't have school. The water main was scheduled to be worked on today but burst yesterday. I wasn't aware he would have no school yesterday until 10 minutes before the bus was to come. This morning I got no call whatsoever but decided to be proactive. I got two different stories but in the end I found at that even though the water was back on and the offices at the school were open they opted to keep the in service day anyway. Again, I didn't find that out for sure until about 10 minutes before the bus was to come.

Allow me to rant just a little but IME any school admin worth half a teaspoon of salt would have at least called up the local news outlets and at least have it posted on their website. When you figure that my kid is autistic I was between a rock and a hard place. If I get him dressed for school he going to expect to be out the door, which I can't do if I have another kid to hold reveille on get them out the door an hour later. The repercussions literally hurt. As a school for special needs kids where they hammer routines into their brains you'd think they'd get that.

Good morning. It's snowing. Makes no sense at all.

Good morning,

It's cloudy with rain here and a good 30 degrees colder than it was. On the bright side Justin slept in and Joey got up and dressed all on his own. I hope they have good days in school so that the afternoon is pleasant.
