Mornin' fellas. Cool and quiet. Time to wake the house and start the day.

Cool and a crow, make that crows. Twenty seven minutes more to enjoy a coffee.

I make my own laundry detergent....

Grate 1/3 bar Fels Naptha and melt on stove in a few cups of water.
Add 1/2 cup each of Washing Soda and Borax.
Mix until disolved.
Pour 4 cups of hot water into a big bucket or stockpot
Add Fels,Soda,Borax mix and stir.
Add enough additional water to make 2 gallons
Let sit for awhile.
Takes on a weird "egg drop soup" consistency.
Bottle in containers w/ enough room to shake it up before use.
1/2 cup per normal load of laundry.
More as needed.

Someone else did the math on this once and came up w/ 1 cent per load as the cost. I haven't bothered to check the math.

Good morning everyone... Sitting down with twins eating their watermelon after their cereal. They made no mess so they got big bowls of watermelon. They are fruit-a-holics! lol No matter what they have in front of them, if a bowl of fruit is put in front of them. They will drop what they have and eat the fruit. =)

Got the kitchen, dining room, and living room cleaned up and it's just a little after 10. Oh yeah, I woke up with some crazy motivation to get things done. But I think now I'll enjoy a nice cup of coffee before dealing with the bathrooms and laundry.

Happy New Year (for those of you of the Jewish persuasion). The wife joined a temple recently, going to head there today for services, never been myself, looking forward to a new experience. Kids have off, she's taking a half day.

'Morning. Cold enough for ya?

I was up at 3:15 and again at 5:15 this morning because Justin was "thirsty." I don't think he ever went back to sleep but he's learned to at least be quiet when it's dark out. At 3 he crawled into bed with me - or actually, he crawled into my bed and on top of me. Don't know why but at least he kept his hands to himself. Instead I got kicked in the head.

Speaking of temperature, it was a bit hot last night. I must've sweat off 5 pounds. It's a bit stale upstairs but downstairs where the thermostat is it gets cooler at night.

Anyway, again he slept through the alarm so I got to snooze until about 6:50 and managed to get him fed and out the door an hour later. Then I woke Joey and got him ready for the day and out the door (he goes to school an hour later) a little more efficiently today as well. I still need a little practice but I'll get there.

Mmm... just put the kids down for a nap and put 8 pounds of rubbed pork loin on the smoker. Doing an apple/pear mix for the smoke today. Smells wonderful.
