I added one of the outlets with the USB chargers on my wife's side of the bed. Pretty easy to install.

The gold doorknobs all have to go and will be replaced with brushed nickle. I wished they came in multipacks. She wants the front door to match too but that's gonna be tricky. The deadbolts are double cylinder there and out back so that Justin can't get loose. They're gold too. It also means that I need to get new sets of duplicate keys made too.

I made a few trips to the stores to get a few things in case we are housebound for a couple of days with the 12"-18" of snow expected. Oh, while I was at Costco I picked up lawn fertilizer. UHG!

Wifey wants a new front door with a second lock on the handle so we don't have to dig for keys when Justin isn't home! Then she goes on to say "let's just get a new front door."

She just got her bonus but this is getting expensive. I like doing the work though. It's cheaper to DIY sometimes too.

Either I need to go on some sort of Alzheimer's prevention diet or I need to get my eyes checked. I went to put on the new door handle and when it came time to mount the outside handle I found that it was the opposite of what it needed to be. After looking at the box to see if I'd bought the wrong orientation all I could see was "fits ANY door" so I tried my best not to get too ticked off and looked at the instructions and found that I had to push something on the internal latch and twist in 180 degrees.

Phew! If I had brains I'd be frigging dangerous.

PS: The existing hole for the lower portion of the handle was off by 1/4" so that the handle is crooked. Instead of drilling in a new hole I'm thinking that it's actually time to get a new door and jam - not just because of that but because it's old and not well insulated. $500 to have a new one installed doesn't seem like a bad investment lol!

I may be in over my head but I ordered a replacement instrument panel for the dishwasher that has been broken for too long and irking my wife. Iím hoping it gets it back up and running because I really donít want to buy a whole new dishwasher.
