holy shit, wind kicking ass outside looked like it was gonna blow siding off. i told the wifey something is gonna come off. sudden a loud

two trees came down in the back of our apt taking out the gable and some of the roof.

Bolly, that sure looks like a silver maple, and the damage to the building seems to be superficial more than anything, lucky break on both.

Is that a phone/cable line or power line in the picture, guess if it was either you wouldn't be posting....another lucky no-break.

Good point HF, the leaves remaining are rather ovate and toothed, could be an aspen, or poplar.

Got some snow last night after a grey col rainy day. I much prefer 20 degrees and lots of sun with snow on the ground to 38 and raining and grey.

Last week it hit the 50s, but right now the snow is literally blowing sideways and the wind chill is around 5.

So I guess I shouldn't mention that on Monday it was -37. I didn't even check the windchill - why bother when it gets that cold. I'm sure the windchill was in the -40s. It's been a COLD winter this year.
