It's thursday, end of prime tv season as well, I believe, if there's a rerun, then I'm torching a pile or two before the T-storms arrive, it's simply amazing what can be done in an hour or two, a pickax, and two hands. Buckthorn that's up 1/2" to 1-1/2" dia, and 14'tall, from one to 6 swings to cut the main roots and toss the whole thing on a pile. Cleared an area of 40'x40', kept getting kind of tuckered-out, so I'd come in and check for anti-nappers, caught one, but he went right up and to sleep, so now I'm in my third stop in and enjoying a bowl of chili, water, shooting tediz.
Have to make up picnic bags for the kids/wife, they eat together at church, I'll go swing a few more rounds at the buckthorn, maybe.

Looks like we'll be moving in the July-August 1st time frame now. The fire house is on it's way to being remodeled so now it's time to get our house ready to put on the market. I need a tile layer, carpenter, and sheet rocker. All the rest I think I can do myself. I could do it all if I had the time but I'll be lucky to get the inside painting finished, the hardware changed out, parts of the yard sodded, and the house packed up while my wife is out of town for work much of May/June.

So who wants to come help? I'll buy the beer!

Took the kid to a baseball game tonight at our local minor league stadium, good game great seats, a little cold but we were getting over it. Kid decides he wants a drink and the stand was only a few feet away from us so I handed him a few bucks and he go's to get it, I can clearly see him from my seat and I'm watching him, just than a foul is hit and of course he is right in it's path it hit him right in the upper left hand shoulder on his back, he didn't see it coming!
I jump out of my seat right away and he is screaming bloody murder, within seconds there were ballpark employee's coming to his aid, the on-duty paramedics called, all so fast, they really had there act together, so we get him to the first aid room and get his shirt off and what a welt he had so they iced it, meanwhile one of the employee's saw that he didn't get the ball that hit him and without being asked went down to the clubhouse, got him a ball, had a couple of players sign it and brought to him in the first aid room! My god there are still thoughtfull kind people in this world!
Well I took him to the hospital for a x-ray, yes the same hospital where my wife was the on duty nursing supervisor, so got her down there and we were taken care of quickly and nothing broken just one mean ass bruise.
What a way to spend a night.

Glad he's OK, Chuck. I'm glad it didn't hit him in the head. He's got a big bruise and a great story!

Today one of the cables that lifts my garage door snapped while closing. Had to get the neighbors to help lift the door open so I could get the cars out.
