I don't think I have seen 10 minute of the Olympics. I hate cold winters! Why would I watch that?! The whole thing is canned by the TV Station. They bait you along all night to see the big event and fill it in mostly with boring sports that are decided by 1000's of a second or a corrupt judge and of course a few fluff pieces about the athletes personal lives. Yawn. I will pass.

Iíve been watching some stuff via the streaming app so you get the event you want and only that event. Basically means Iíve been watching lots of curling and hockey (watching hockey right now with my morning coffee).

This is really cool! Article about numerous abandoned copper mining and logging towns in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I always drive by old abandoned buildings, homes, factories, etc., and just want to go inside. Such a window into history.

Nice 82 picture photo gallery in the middle of the article.

I get it. We live in a very reactionary society. Everyone is looking to judge. Everyone is looking to be offended. Everyone wants someone to lose a job "because they knew or should have known" something. Group think develops very quickly.

I didn't watch the NBA All Star Game last night but woke up this morning to the media frenzy over Fergie's rendition of the National Anthem. So I looked it up. Fearing the worst. Political statement, forgotten words, or whatever.

Am I missing something? Yeah, it was different. I've seen a lot worse. I didn't think it was disrespectful. In the end I wish people would just sing the song as it was written. But was this that bad?

Weíre lucky the nearest one is almost an hour away so our kids have never been in one.

Anyone else's kids struggling with the time change. For some reason this year has been really hard. We are in more of a mad dash than usual trying to get to the bus.
